Automotive Materials Stewardship (AMS) is committed to advancing the circular economy for automotive service materials and supporting our producers in meeting their obligations under Ontario’s Hazardous and Special Products (HSP) Regulation (O.Reg. 449/21). 

AMS is inviting proposals from qualified contractors for the processing of plastic oil containers and plastic antifreeze containers (together “Automotive Plastics”) starting January 1, 2026. Scope of Work

• Receipt and processing of plastic oil and antifreeze containers.
• Sale of recovered materials to end markets.
• Reporting on the volume of materials processed and disposition of materials.

Submission Deadline

Submissions will be accepted until close of business on Friday, March 21, 2025. Full timeline details can be reviewed in the RFP.
